Isaac Newton once said this:
"If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."My main hypothesis is this, the main way that most new innovative ideas are formed is by a synthesis of first understanding preexisting ideas, then the human brain forms new patterns of thought, resulting in a sort of a 'snowball' effect. In other words, once you have a foundational base of understanding the human brain can then form new correlations between those ideas, resulting in the formation of new ways of thinking and approaching problems.
